June pictures of the boys

Terrie is such a talented photographer that I have to blog these pictures that she took while she was taking a turn supporting Stephanie in Tim's absence. (Don't forget to keep Tim in your prayers these days.)
It's hard being so far away from these beautiful babies. I am thankful that I could go for such a long time and that I came home to a great husband who has been working hard on our kitchen remodeling and to some great folks at work.

Leaving North Carolina and my grandsons

I did okay today, until I was wandering around the Charlotte Airport and kept having flash backs of the emotionally exhausting night when we came through immigration and some of the same corridors, bringing Ethan home from Guatemela. I had to wait over an hour at the gate and kept fighting tears while watching all the babies traveling with their parents and grandparents. Then everytime I fell asleep on the plane I'd see visions of the boys in various daily activities. They were nice dreams until they'd get distorted and disappear and I'd wake up with a start, realizing that I wasn't with them any longer. But now I'm thanking God for the time we had and I'll be dreaming of the next time I will see my babies and their moms and dads. Thank you Jesus.

I was just listening to the song "Broken and Spilled Out" some of the words touched my heart, once again. Just thinking about how much love we have for our children and grandchildren, that it's almost painful...
It's so awesome to know that God's love for me is so intence and so complete and so painful that He sent His precious Son Jesus, who willing laid down His life for me.

Lord, You were God's precious treasure
His love and His own perfect Son
Sent here to show me the love of the Father
Just for love it was done
And though You were perfect and holy
You gave up yourself willingly
You spared no expense for my pardon
You were used up and wasted for me
Broken and spilled out just for love of me
Jesus
God's most precious treasure lavished on me
Broken and spilled out and poured at my feet
In sweet abandon, Lord You were spilled out and used up for me.

For the last ten weeks I have been away from home. I've been staying with Tim's wife and boys in North Carolina. I have spent the last four days with all of my grandsons, as Terrie has come to take a turn staying with Stephanie for a couple weeks during Tim's deployment. In the morning I will be leaving to go visit Tommie for a few days. It has been so wonderful to hold each one of them and to play with and hug and kiss them all. I'll always treasure these special moments I've had and I thank God for blessing me with this priviledge. I don't have pictures for this posting but I want to share some verses from the Bible that I am meditating on.
Psalms 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.
Hebrews 2:6 What is man that You are mindful of him. Or the son of man that You take care of him?
Psalms 139:22 Search me, O God and know my heart: try me and know my anxieties: and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the path everlasting.
Psalm 95:6 & 7 Come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our God, our Maker. For He is our God. And we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts...
John 10:4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him for they know his voice.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven"

Christmas 2006 in North Carolina

My family is very important to me and ours is growing with grandbabies. Pictures are a way to chronicle our family fun and times together. We have a lot of good memories and these new ones will be added as we begin this new phase of our lives, Grandparenting.

This is Tom and me visiting the Atlantic beach for a short while during our trip to see Tim and Stephanie in North Carolina. Terrie and Casey and Josiah were there too.

Our trip to Guatemala to get Ethan

On April 18th, 2007 Terrie Anne, and Stephanie (Tim's wife) and I went to Guatemala to get Ethan Joshua Kessler, our oldest grandson. Ethan was born February 3rd, 2006 and was referred for adoption with Tim and Stephanie on April 7th, 2006. In the time of waiting for permission to go get him, Stephanie became pregnant with Seth Nathaniel who was born February 20, 2007.
